Possibly a note for a future potential buyer that plastic might be covering something up? Or that the sill structure couldnt be rust checked for something that might fail an MoT? Bit extreme all the same...

I think it's a bit extreme! My old car had that advisory and now i've just found out my new one does too :err:

Anyone else had this yet?

it means that they have not been able to check that paticular area as they are not allowed to remove things. so its down as an advisory item.

what they are saying is that the plastic should not be there for the next test but not compulsary to remove it. so its advisory of the said area.

So which bit of the car are they actually on about?

Could be a change in the MOT guidelines?
Different garage?
Different testers?
