whats ur problem?
the idle keeps dropping really low and stalling the engine at times when i put the clutch down, thinking its the controll valve getting stuck. want to clean it if someone would tell me where it is! Is it the thing at the top of number 3's line with a sensor stuck in it??

If its a mk1 saxo which it looks like then if you look at the drivers side of the engine just below the inlet manifold is where its located. On the mk1 there called idle actuator control valves.Hope this helps sorry I havn`t got a pic.
Steve.
anyone with a rough pic, would help immensly
Right started at 7.30, early i know. Took off the throttle body and disconnected everything, took out what i thought was the valve (the thing at the top of line 3). Seized nuts were a bugger but i got em out. sprayed some wd40 and gave a wipe inside, then sprayed some universal carb cleaner round the throttle body and the moving parts. gave that a wipe as it had oil from the old air intake in it ! (damb citroen). As i was putting it back in i heard an allmighty click as if something had snapped off and broke, but nothing had happened. Regardless i attached eveything back up. Re-connected battery and she started and kept the revs constant. YAY! fixed.
Took her for a test drive and nothing was wrong. revs kept at about 1250, sometimes a bit closer to 1500 but that because ages ago i tightened the throttle cable as it has been lagging the last few weeks. but it holds them and dosnt drop or stall. I fixed it! Thanks for the help people
