I see that Streamline Carbon do a carbon replacement roofskin. Has anyone everyseen one fitted in a Saxo. Quiet like that sound of it.

The bit below is what I nicked from the thread that I found.

Wet Lay process, 2x2 twill carbon E glass mix (panel suitably thick for strength) = £399
Autoclave cured product, 2x2 twill carbon = £599.00
Fibreglass product = £199.00

Are not those ones just stick on ones? done a few in the past but they were on full caged cars.

I don't think they are stick on. I think it is a complete replacement skin.
I've never seen it done.

i've never seen one done, i have replaced a sunroof roof skin with a non sunroof roof skin. the roof skin was spot welded all long the inset seems so i had to drill them all out and then spot weld the new one in place, not sure how you would fix the new roof skin in so it holds as secure as a spot weld

the carbon roof skin you are talking of is a true replacement just like a m3 csl.

there are a couple of cars that have them, sybez nana gti and another nana gti that was at fcs. i spoke to bic and the prices seemed to have risen considerably. bic told me his proper replacements are around £900 and they have a fitting charge of £200 on top of that.

Lads just to confirm, this is full REPLACEMENT roof panel, non of this stick on lark! The fitting is done by Streamline Carbon also, and you must have a full cage fitted in order to have the roof. The cost breakdowns are as follows:

£600 for the carbon roof panel

£150 if you want it laquered (basically will give it a glossy, slightly more weatherproof finish)

£200 for the fitting of the roof (this includes drilling all the spot welds and removal of old roof - quite a big job!)

The fitted roof looks stunning and is much lighter than the standard item also - here are some pics fitted, i'm sure you'll agree that it looks great!
