Hi can anyone help me,Ive just bought my daughter a mk1 saxo with no ps can anyone tell me if a mk2 power steering rack set up will fit as her moaning is driving me up the wall

I would just tell her to get used to it, power steering is just another thing to go wrong and it probably involves a lot of work to fit it aswell.

It most probably would fit but you would spend so much money changing it as you would need new rack, new pump, new pipes etc
No powersteering is way better than ps I think lol. Its a bitch when doing 3 point turns and stuff but you don't really do them often. She will get used to it mate, I thought it was weird when I had mine. In a saxo, when its moving, its probably lighter steering than ps anyway :y:

It is a big job to swap everything and pretty costly, you would probably benefit more from selling it and getting a model with Power Steering.

thanks for the reply everyone there was a complete set up on ebay can remember fitting one years ago so I know the pig of a job:wacko::wacko: but wondered if the mk1 and mk2 were different
shes comming round a bit now as driven her friends vtr and she prefers the positive feel on hers at speed
