rubbing compound

i"ve just done some paint work on my car & just wondered what do i use to blend in the paint old to new is rubbing compound anygood?????

edit:what have you sprayed?you should have masked half way across next panel with the foam 3m masking stuff,and turned the gun down also thining the paint,then all you would have to do lighlty sand the edge with 2000+ grit paper and a good polish

sprayed top of boot & bit down side panelsof boot,just feels abit ruff where i let pressure off on spray can

how long before i can use rubbing compound????????????

if its painted properly 1week will do fine

2 primer 3 top coats

just used rubbing compound on the ruff bits & on edge of painted area just to smooth in & its turned paint a slite tint of green,have i done it wrong??????
