im color codein my rear LED clusters to the same color as the car...

is this legal... wots the law state in regards to this!?

Any amount of paint on it would technically be 'illegal'.

a mix of your colour and shit loads of lacquer is required to make a thin mix, so that when applied it is thin enough for light to get through.

Any paint on those LED clusters will invalidate the E-marked status aswell.

buy spares and keep them in ur car if u get any hassle from the fuzz or wen it comes to an MOT. that way u can just quickly change them! bish bash bosh and the jobs a good'un

I sparay mine silver (got the correct colour form halfords) gave them a thin coat , added loads of laquer , then gave them another coat and then loads more laquer. You can see the lights threw well (except the side lights these are a little dim (you can still see them) but have not been pulled up for them yet.

shit i thot u meant sumthin else...

buy spares from a scrappy, and if u get bothered about them - just run home n swap them

they dont cost a lot

ok cool so its illegal but the fuss dont really mind unless you cant see the lights... LOL

is one layer of paint enough to match the color of the car!? If i do it i wanna do it right.

i also have thought of writting "saxo" along the ridge of the lights just where the boot meets the lights, in small silver letterin. wot you think!?

only if you've de-badged the rear.. As too may 'saxo' will be slightly too overkill for me.

led clusters r pretty bright anyway, so i dont c a problem mate

not keen on the 'saxo' idea, but i aint seen it b4 so at least itl b different!!
