Problem starting VTR

I've got a mk1 VTR and it's a nightmare to try and start.

Not only does the Clifford immobiliser play up a treat but it also has a second problem starting.

It's normaly ok from a cold start but if i've been driving it at all or the weather is hot, it takes alot of pumping of the accelerator to get the engine to fire up. Even then it's really reluctant to get going.


Anyone had the same problem?

ye mine has started playing up 2. i got mk2 tho.
was thinking i mite av a loose wire sumwer cuz sumtimes its fine n other times it wnt start at all

I get a feeling it's more of a mechanical problem... starter motor perhaps? :wall:
