hi ive got a mk1 vtr, can anyone tell me what 'tax band' its in?

1.6 upwards. cars before 2001? i think are done on engine size instead of emissions.

Yeah, should be 120 for year, or 66 for six months =D

no it wil be £185 for a year or £101.75 for 6 months cos its registered before 2001 So its not taxed on emissions just engine size.

You are correct! as it's pre 2001 it's based on the engine size which should be no different to what it was before. Check the DVLA website this will tell you how much!!!

think the tax band only comes in to effect on cars after 2001.

cheers guys, the DVLA site is prity shite it doesnt tell you much but used 'parkers'

6 months = £101.75

12 months = £185.00
