Its a bit hard at this time to get in tbh, as most building work like extensions have stopped due to this recession.

However if your a plumber, sparky ect you might have half a chance of getting work as something is always bound to need fixing, and im sure plumbers and sparkys will need a hand.

If it's ME you could see if BDP do work experience; I've worked with them in London and they are all really, really good at what they do. You may get work experience, but doubt they'd hire you without a degree (I assume you don't have one, based on the fact you type using 'txt spk' which is really bad of me, so sorry if you do!)

i would say dude, trainee jobs are hard to find full stop.

If your after a day release etc, now is the best time, but be quick as you would need to enroll before september.

http://www.ngbailey.com/

Bailey building services are constantly looking for trainees to sign up to their training program. They offer block release at their Leeds training academy and Leeds Met Uni.

I was a trainee (not long qualified) and yeah, you have to sign up before september so you can go to college

We are looking for 5 trainees in Glasgow with loads of other trainee opertunities in england.

I sound like I'm an HR person lol

What do you want to do? Architecture? Civil Eng? Structural Eng? I have Adv. Dip. Construction, I've been working as an Architectural Tech for 2.5 years now, started fresh outa college with a couple A-levels..

You dont need a degree, I get paid very well also.

your right, but a degree behind your belt means its much easier to earn silly money - when i finsh mine my company are tripling my salary. Its worth doing on a vocational basis especially seeings most companies will fund it too - and you get a day off work every week.:y:

Im an apprentice Scaffolder.

It might be tough to find a job in that area at the moment as a lot of the major house building companies ( roberston, persimmon, barrat ) etc are all paying off workers and work is tight with my company as well atm.
