Popping/Knocking/Rattling Noise!

I was hoping someone would be able to help me.
I have a saxo Mk2 VTR and recently i have noticed strange noise when the car is sitting idle and when reving or driving. I looked under the bonnet and it sounds like it coming from near the top of the engine bay near the coil pack just in front of where the sterring wheel is. Its a sort of popping/rattling noise that gets worse whrn reving.

Any help appreciated

Or your coilpack isn't shorting out on the block.

Would say loose spark plug aswell, mines done the same last week
