does anyone here go fishing?? im a member of canterbury and district lakes. about 7 lakes and about 10 miles of river :) carp up to 45lb and pike in there 20's

i generally use 18mm pellets or pop up boilies but sometimes go for the more traditional lunction meat n sweetcorn baits on a hair rig with a swim feeder

my dad has a boat too and we often go out feathering for mackerel or perking for big bass on wrecks.

talk about what uve caught. how and wear..

ive been fishing on and off for 3 years, i used to float fish only but i got bored of catching roach all the time.

ive now got nearly a grands worth of carp outfit and my biggest is only a 23lb common carp. still hunting for a big tench

biggest bass is 11lb on a perk.

discuss

I used to go sea fishing as a kid...
Bought a fly fishing rod and used it once with no luck (didn't know what I was doing tbh)

I should get back into the sport though, its really fun!

I've got a rangemaster, good rod!

Can't beat the Fox Warriors in terms of value for money though. Waiting to see if I'm accepted into a syndicate right now. 70+acre sand pit in a local nature reserve, got stocked 250 years ago, no publicity venue... Heaven!!

fishing is mental, chill out, escape from the world antisipatiing a bite, not knowing what ur gonna catch, if anythin. get pissed, smoke a budd, camp on the lakes, the wildlife the scenery and the silence. its paradise.
