Looking at getting my car delocked in the near future.
But at the min I use my lock and key to lock the car when I'm at work. Rather than alarming it.
So obviously when I dont have any locks I cant do this.
When I bought the car, the standard Citroen central locking fob didnt work becuse it had been de-activated when the Cat1 alarm was installed.

So what I want to know is...
Is there any way of using my Toad Alarm to just lock the car when I leave it , and not alarm it.
The only reason why I dont alarm it at work is because I'm constantly going in and out of the car with customers etc..

The alarm on the paperwork says it is a Toad C4 Cat1

Thanks in advance.

same alarm as mine mate, dont think there is anyway of locking it without alarming it to be honest. why is it a problem that its alarmed?

I dont use my car ALOT, other than to travel the short journey to and from work, and I'm worried that the constant turning on/off of the alarm would drain the battery ?

nah it should be ok matey, mine has a proximity sensor on it and that beeps all the time eg when ppl walk past the car and even when its windy and i leave it on for 7-8 hours at a time and my battery has been fine.

Cool, should be fine then. smileys/smiley14.gif thanks.

did you get the proxim fitted when you had the alarm fitted?
I'm thinking of getting that too, but wondering if its worth it?

How many buttons has your keyfob got? and what does which feature?

my key fob has 2 buttons top one for alarming disarming and if you keep your finger on it it will set the alarm off as a panic alarm.

yeah i had it fitted when the alarm was fitted but they said you can add features all the time and remove them.

the proximity sensor does get annoying as mines too sensitive at the moment and beeps at anything.

edit button not there?? missed something out, the bottom button allows you to have the beep on/off when you arm/disarm the alarm.

Do it mate, I had my proximity sensor de-sensitised by the bloke who fitted my alarm because a mate of mine has the same alarm, and his goes off when the wind blows! Mines now set to go off if someone stands in the proximity zone for more than 5 seconds without disarming the alarm. Its spot on smileys/smiley4.gif
