View Full Version : Vauxhall Corsa SXI Clean...(56k make a brew).

Well today I had the joy of valeting a Corsa SXI - nothing special, interior was pretty clean to start with and just need a wash with some treatment on the bumpers.

On first inspection, the car was full of scratches - closer looking in it's FULL of swirls all over the car - but especially the bonnet. I think a PC is due before the end of the year, so you'll see some more progress on this car soon.

The owner didn't want anything special - just a wash, bumper care, wash windows and clean interior.

Methods used.

- Rinse down.
- Hot hand wash with wash mitt.
- 2 bucket method.
- Dried with Sonus Drying Towel
- Megs Trim Detailer
- Autoglym Car Glass Polish
- Megs Tyre Endurance Gel
- Interior cleaned with Wet/Dry Vac
- Dashboard wiped down with dashboard cleaner
- Autoglym Autofresh
- 2x Magic Trees
- Complimentary fulid check

Here are some before pictures.

did you forget the boot lock surround?

the plastics look really greasey, what did you use?

much better though, good to see youve improved :)

Yeah boot surround was done after the pictures -I realised once I took them.

It was Megs Trim detailer, does look greasy but I did buff after too - not overly impressed with that.

Does the gel really work? AG is good to be honest, thought I'd use rest of my old products but I have already put it in the bin.

Thanks for comments :)

Got a few more cars lined up

- Landrover Freelander
- Vauxhall Astra
- Ford Fiesta Zetec S Celebration

Like I said, was a basic wash and nothing special.

Going to using AG Bumper Care from now on anyway as I have loads of the stuff.

Corsa's are ACE!! Looks good! What did you use for the alloys as my fronts are absolute Filth tbh! They are black! I need some alloy sealant i think, any recommendations luke?

Luke

AG Clean Wheels I used to clean the wheels, soak them in that and leave them to do the job - I have found it the less abrasive too.

For sealing I use AG Alloy Wheel Seal - pretty good so far.

Where do you buy your stuff from Luke? Will have to invest in some wheel cleaner and sealant i think!
How many coats of sealant is recommended or is just down to user preference?

I get all my AG trade mate, all cheap and then sell it on too.

I usually put one coat on, but it's a good layered coat.
