He's a member of some club within Pistonheads... he meets up with other petrolheads and goes on trips round Wales and Europe in search of awesome roads, then he puts the car to test....... some of the others in the club drive cars such as Ferrari's BMW M3 CSL's, Mosler's etc.

He asked if I wanted to go with him on the the Wales trip :y:

i put a windscreen in 1 of these a couple of weeks ago, and i drove it. tbh they are a nice car, but the interior is really bad, it feels almost empty.

Took me ages to find the bonnet release and about 2 hours to fit the screen :n:

Nice car tho!

My mate has the normal Exige and it sounds incredible!

Yeah, the noise was amazing and the cornering I just couldn't believe... you don't need to slow down for roundabouts (so long as you know it's clear)

LOL... I wish I was a slesman for Lotus... might get a company car

I would eat my own grandmothers ashes for one of them. RIP Fran. Bless her.

LMFAO... you always crack me up Ruddy... Legend!

thats the whole point and why there such an immense car imo,

one of the finance crew local to me has one, with a few extra mods apparently running 330bhp... not entirely sure if thats true but his other finance buds all have scoobs, evos and 5 series beemers...

The new type approved Performance Pack gives the Exige S the same bite as the limited edition Lotus Sport 240R and, you can't help thinking, has been done with more than one eye on distancing the Exige S from the forthcoming 220bhp Elise SC. To release the extra power, Lotus has developed a new roof panel

with a wider and full-length roof scoop that improves intercooler efficiency, and then supplied more fuel with revised injectors. An ecu remap makes sense of it all and means 240bhp at 8,000rpm (up from 218bhp) and 170lb ft of torque (up from 159lb ft) with more of both throughout the rev range. But the pack also brings larger 308mm front discs with 4 piston AP Racing callipers, complete with upgraded pads and hoses, and you also get the variable traction control system from the 2-Eleven (with launch control) while the clutch receives attention to handle the greater forces. You'll need to find an extra £3,000.

Ah ha.... maybe i should start to read the rest of the thread rather than just looking at the original post ?! Although that'd take time and is mostly not necessary... apart from this time!:fcuk:

Yeah... it was immence!!! I'm usually a terrible passenger, but I trusted my mate and I know that he knows the limits of his car, so I was pretty relaxed and just taking in the shear quality of the blast!

Chris :)
