Like, really really? Coz I now own a Citroen VTS :clapping: it is a C2 though, but it's even closer than the Leon lol

Picked her up last night - 06 plate, 35,000 miles on the clock (was used for commuting), minor dent on the roof lol

Had just over a 200mile drive to bring her home, now I sold my 1.8 Turbo car for this and I love it. The C2 is a great drive, but that clutch gets me every time (lots of gas and a little clutch then away you go, pulling off gets me every time at the minute lol).

Have got auto-lights and auto-wipers aswell, and a Magnex cat-back exhaust.

The car needs a bloody good interior/exterior valet which is first on the list, and a service. Had a slow drive home, EssexHoneys VTS went pop and the radiator pissed out everywhere so after some DIY'ing we took it easy (50-60mph).

Really impressed with the car actually, if you've not driven the C2 VTS I'd recommend it :)

Ah - if you spotted two black Citroens on the A14/A12 last night that was me and EssexHoney..apologies for lack of speed :bored:

I feel a group hug coming on :panic:

Hello and Welcome aboard :y:

What made you change from a Leon to a C2??

EH_Fella

no.....

:( what if I say 3G iPhones are awesome? Would you accept me then lol

Long story short - my boss is my ex-partners Mum. I was meant to be working in Greenwich most of this year so got the Leon as the milage etc would pay most of the fuel ;) I was also meant to see a pay rise at Xmas - but planning permission means we couldn't get started on projects which in turn meant there wasn't alot of money about.

I've decided to wave goodbye to this job as I'm underpaid, and yeah I do bugger all at the minute when I work 10hours or more a day I don't get extra for it and with the credit crunch and fuel/tax I decided it was a good time to get rid of the Seat.

I am very happy with the car - it's in a different league to the Leon so I can't compare, but it's the best of a bad bunch (i.e. 1.6 engine :( smallest litre I've owned lol). Drives really well and gives me an MPG with two figures :p so can't complain. Will make travelling to an office much easier on the wallet now aswell! Will get a MK3 Ibiza Cupra in silver when I have some money again though!

I have a brand new c2 VTS and if I could get rid of it today my god it would be gone faster than you can say saxo vts. They are so gutless, not bad handling but that is pretty much it. Mine is already booked in for quite a bit of warranty work and it is only a few months old, not a very good start imo

I think it is just personal preference. A mate of mine had a c2 vts and he absalutely loved it. Whereas I cannot find much to love about it. Cheers pal, warranty is probally one of the best things about buying a new car. Compared to the saxo vts there isn't a great deal in it. I have had many plays with my mates pug 106 gti and he will pull away to about a cars length and then it is pretty much equal

Two days ago I went and had a look at a civic type R. Oh man I really want one, but because my car is on finance it is very hard to get rid of it at this early stage of ownership.

Ahh no worries man, at least yours is cheap to run lol, running big-power VTECS is a pain in the arse on the wallet. Plus your car does what, 40miles per gallon? I'd kill to have that kind of economy in the current petrol-price climate. :y:

Its a nice car!! Still wouldnt give up my saxo vts for one though, even if i did have a few problems with it last night!!

Its still not a saxo though is it?!! Go to the c2 forums where you belong!! Lol!! ;)

littleracer - I was working on the schools in the local area, sorting out cost schedules and room plans etc for when they are rebuilt in the BSF project. I was then supposed to work at the Quay/Quayside.

Have taken it for a little run today - I agree that from standing, there's not much to love about the car. It definitely needs a lot of gas to get it going, but that's something I need to get used to. From second gear up there's a lot of life in it.

I think this one had a new CD player under warrenty as it wouldn't skip tracks properly, apart from that no work has been neccessary (usual 10,000mile services though) :)

Well, in first gear the car seems a bit slow and if the speedo didn't tell me I was going, I wouldn't really notice - but once in second it all comes to life.

Pat - am putting in the new radiator over the weekend and will bleed the system using a guide from here - should fix it up nicely. Water poured straight out a hole near the top of the radiator - it was behind one of the hoses so sometimes the hose pressed on the radiator and minimized the leak. Still, after many bottles of water into the system, the VTS ran better (for a while!).
