Jamie
16th July 2008, 22:41
They look nice but i dont think they are quick, Theyre nice i just think theres better cars

Depends on what you want from it,

Id get a fezzy ST probably just as much to insure lol

Graeme
16th July 2008, 22:42
from what i have heard the c2 vts arnt all that really and there quite slow

tease1986
16th July 2008, 22:42
what bhp are they

Mochachino
16th July 2008, 22:44
they are very slow! a saxo walkes all over it, and my lil 1.4 can almost keep up with them! they go like a saxo VTR with a few mods like manifold lol!

Jamie
16th July 2008, 22:44
same as saxo, iirc but more weight so about as fast as a Sax VT*
Infact im pretty sure i beat one in my old R

tease1986
16th July 2008, 22:44
seriously

Jamie
16th July 2008, 22:46
Yep, swear they have saxo engines but in a beefy car, all that weight and small engine = slowwwwwwwww coach

Ryan
16th July 2008, 22:46
they use an updated engine that was in the saxo.

Slightly different but from the JP- range (TU)

tease1986
16th July 2008, 22:47
vts c2 standard is sitting at 125bhp

Ryan
16th July 2008, 22:48
and a kerb weight about 400 kg more than a saxo :p

Jamie
16th July 2008, 22:50
Mate, if your not looking for speed its a good car ;) lol

tease1986
16th July 2008, 22:50
so would u say a vts c2 is slower than a saxo vts

Mochachino
16th July 2008, 22:51
so would u say a vts c2 is slower than a saxo vts

definatly, c2's are poodles

tease1986
16th July 2008, 22:51
i havea furio at min so obviously its going to be much better tho

Mochachino
16th July 2008, 22:52

not really mate, like i say my westcoast kept up with one pretty well, i thought i was a vtr c2 untill my mate in front told me it was a vts!

i say kept up, it obv was a tad quicker, but my westcoast didnt let it run away!

Jamie
16th July 2008, 22:53
so would u say a vts c2 is slower than a saxo vts

Lmao, if i compare it to a vtr, and a vts would absolutely destroy a r lol what do you think :P

a Modded C2 Vts , exhaust, manifold, induction kit would still be eaten by a std saxo vts..

Ryan
16th July 2008, 22:55
to put things into perspective. FCS 06. I started in my vtr infront of several cpoos. I lapped them all. and i wasnt exactly fast in the 8v

tease1986
16th July 2008, 22:56
ok so do you think thats why my uns company will insure me on a c2 vts but not a saxo vts

Ryan
16th July 2008, 22:57
c2s have higher Ncap, are less easy to steal.

also less have been bent than saxos. so thats why

Jamie
16th July 2008, 22:59
^ what Ry said,

Tbh mate, they arent a bad car just quite er slow lol, Id look around more unless thats what your heart is set on tbh

tease1986
16th July 2008, 23:01
so would u say not to go for the vts c2

Ryan
16th July 2008, 23:02
they are good cars in a sense. just if you expect to be blown away by performance. they are not.

tease1986
16th July 2008, 23:03
im not set on tbh just love the look at them but i want summit as quick as a vts saxo and keep ins down a slight bit like my furio its only extra 5er a month for a c2 55 plate vts and thats 40 pound a month fully comp i think its well good

Jamie
16th July 2008, 23:04
so would u say not to go for the vts c2

It depends what you want from the car mate, as an all rounder for the price i suppose they arent too bad.

If your expecting some sort of slaying machine you need to look elsewhere ;)

tease1986
16th July 2008, 23:07
hmmm yeah im looking for summit what has power like but a small car and new ish car wats smart and cheep on insurance like c2

Jamie
16th July 2008, 23:09

NeV_M3
16th July 2008, 23:16
How old are you m8?

Graeme
16th July 2008, 23:16

mine cost the same as my old vtr to insure and is quicker

tease1986
16th July 2008, 23:19
hmmmmmm im 21 however i work for ins company so get like mega discount i pay like 350 pound for a c2 vts with no yrs ncb like so as long as they insure a car im fine they just dont touch gti a saxo vts

How About The C2 Gt Or Is It Slower Than The Vts

NeV_M3
16th July 2008, 23:28
do you work for esure? i know they dont like "sporty" car (well they didn't when i got my VTR, they wouldn't even insure my mum on a 206 Gti) i'd say a C2 VTS is a nice car, plus you can get a good deal on the insurance :y:
you'll find it quicker than your furio (obviously) but i think you'll soon get used to it's slight performance increase.

I'd say save and get a clio 172/182 but you probably wont get insured by your company... :(

DawsonWicked
16th July 2008, 23:29
I walked all over a C2 GT today, i left it for dust tbh ! My VTR keeps well upto the C2 VTS aswell they realy dont pull away from me, they arnt as quick as your thinking, Id rather go out n buy a fast Clio 172 or 182.

A said 8.3 seconds,

thats inbetween Saxo VTR and VTS speeds.

matt_vtr_15
17th July 2008, 12:49
c2 vts's as stated are nice cars but not fast... a lad off here with a cammed vtr (not mapped) beat one the other day....

They are just heavy cars... why not look at something like a golf gti? golf gt tdi???

If you want a bit more speed id go for one of them and a simple remap and couple of mods you can have a lot more power....specially torque out of a vw than a c2 vts....

if your after something newish as well why not try something like the 1.4 t-jet punto??

1.4 turbo, pretty nippy and low insurance???

Or just wait it out until you can insure something worth going on finance for if you want performance???

Karl
17th July 2008, 12:52
C2 VTS are bloody good cars for what they are,

Insurance group 8 (Low and cheap)

Relatively nippy!

Just not that nice in looks.

17th July 2008, 13:14
lol, just cause its got more power than a VTS dont mean its gonna be quicker mate, its got 5bhp more, and weighs about 400kg more, gotta take the weight into account, its nowt to do with jealousy.
