boot popper problem

hi people

ok where do i start...

got this boot popper for my saxo

i had i go at wiring it up 2day, blown loads of fuses trying it for it to still not work so one of u guys must know how 2 do it? i got it push outwards but its doesnt pull its self in i u know what mean.

iam using my rear wiper connections which have one yellow which is live one grey which is live and the brown cable is the earth. the boot popper has to wires coming off which have spliters which go into 4 wires.

sorry to tell you but that is not a boot popper it is a 2 wire locking motor as you can se if you put 1 wire on the + of the battery and the other on the - of the battery it will push then put the wires the other way round it will pull (lock and unlock). have a look at this it may help. 7272Z_Disconnect_the_metal_rod_and_take_out_the_bl ack_plasti c_leaver.doc (/members/reevesyvtr/7272Z_Disconnect_the_metal_rod_and_take_out_the_bl ack_plastic_leaver.doc)

oh no dam egay...

cheers reevesy on ebay it said it would open & close the boot do you think i can get it working 2 push both ways? my brother said about getting a relay or something? its just ive fitted and screwed it on my car all the linking works with the lock just cant get power both ways.

i could still have it wired up for it 2 pop the boot open but will have 2 push the dam thing back in b4 a shut the boot again.

advice on how 2 get pushing both ways would be great.. smileys/smiley4.gif

you need to earth one of the wires and then run the other to the front of the car then get a relay put the wire from the boot on to pin 30 then put a live (+12volt) to 85 and 87 then get a push switch put one side of the switch to earth and the other side to pin 86. pins 85 and 86 make a relay work and what you put on pin 30 you will get out of 87 when there is a live on 85 and an earth on 86. smileys/smiley5.gif
