To anyone looking for a good Sub and Amp package by JBL (highly rated by Coonper, which is certainly good enough for me!!) I suggest going here:
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/1259/referer/rc_froogle.html
Package includes:
JBL GTO1004e, 4-channel amplifier
JBL GTO1202D 1200W subwoofer
12" sub-box
JBL GTO937 300W 6x9 speakers
8-gauge wiring kit
For £189.99. Pretty darn good value.
I suggest getting some pretty good components for this aswell. If your looking for cheap and good quality, maybe these:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jbl-gto507c-p-5126.html
The amp alone will cost you £115, the Sub probably £35-40, the wiring kit about £20-30, and the sub box about £20-30. Plus you can flog the 6x9s brand new on ebay, or if you want, you can use them.
There's a lot more different packages to choose from If you don't fancy the JBL setup, from about £100 for just Amp and Speaker deals, to £400 if you want a good quality full package
Thanks go to Coonper who reccomended me the Amp, and got me started on JBL. ;)

well... the amp on the sub package simply isnt good enough for the sub, and probly not even for the 6x9s either..
also.. 6x9s are urm.. shite
also.. not sure if you want this thread to be a sticky? if so, better deals would be required lol.. id pick this any day:
sub, amp, wires, box
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8047.html
comps:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JBL-GTO-507c-13cm-5-25-165W-CAR-COMPONENT-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ110271534876QQcmdZViewItem?hash= item110271534876&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318
same comps, at a better price ;)
and could pick an amp for comps, but if your looking for budget, i guess people would be running them off the HU
EDIT: i dont think ive ever seen a package other than the one i reccomended that offers an amp to power the sub correctly. most have a 150wrms amp with a 400wrms sub.. if i was going to pay more than £130 for this package, id be buying seperates, for better matching :y:

I don't really understand what your getting at mate? I was just mentioning a JBL kit specifically because I've bought it and thought it was good value for what I want.
Yes to some people the quality of it may be less than their used to, but not everyone can affords top end products.
Plus the amp was specifically reccomended to me by Coonper to power exactly that setup (minus the 6x9s as I'm getting Hertz Components), and I never once said to 'use' the 6x9s I even suggested flogging them on ebay etc, so just because I'm fairly new on here, don't jump the gun and presume I'm an idiot and pick fault with everything I say.

the package you reccomended imo is nowhere near worth the cash..
would rather pick the deal i said any day, was cheaper, better matched equiptment (minus the wiring kit) and you could pick up a blaupunkt amp for the comps, and it would still work out cheaper then the set up you reccomended..

Ok buddy, sorry for getting a bit shirty  lol, I just thought you might have been taking the p*ss because I was new on here, but I realise you probably wern't now lol. ;)
Since I've already bought that package, and now realise that the Amp isn't as powerful as the sub, what do you reccomend me doing? Will it damage the Sub underpowering it?

I've already decided to sell the 6x9s and either get some Hertz 13cm components or JBL Gto-507c components, it's just down to a matter of whether the Hertz are worth the extra £20, as I heard the JBL are much better value for what you get??
Any advice would be good!!

Well the JBL's are very good value for money, but if you can afford to stretch to the £70 then do it, cus its definitely worth it, but you wont be dissapointed either way!
Oh, and can i just throw some others into the equation? The SPL-dynamics SD5.2. Imo these sound better than the hertz's!;)
