Last year (today), you all may remember the floods of Gloucestershire.

People were flooded out, and some are still living in caravans.

There was a celebration and also a memorial thing of the three Tewkesbury people that died.

Victims

3 people died. A father and son, trying to save beer from a cellar.

Also a friend of mine.... drowned after a night out.

Definitely not a lot. Barrier round the power station and that's about it.

because when you're tvs floating away, at least you can feel safe you could have plugged it in and actually electrocuted yourselves out of misery

In 1998 my town was flooded, at the time new homes were built just on the outskirts of Northampton. My best mate in the worst hit area was shipped over to one of the new homes with their family, loved that house why'd he move back into his old place I'll never know. Gloucester was hit on a much bigger area though I would believe so Brown couldn't do such a nice kind gesture for the people of gloucester... then again I doubt he would anyway.

2 People died where I lived.

I drive over that bridge every day it had water going around the sides and underneath at that time...

Love the church on fire :clapping:... smooth move.

Harsh on the people of Glos - bro and sis in law had to collect bottled water from their street as the tap water was contaminated because of the flood

But what about the rest of the country that suffered far worse? South Yorks for example.

Was a horrible thing to happen. Feel so sorry for the families who got flooded out. Cant really blame the environment agency though, they are living on a flood plain and they are aware of this.

Saw a report on the news, some guys house had been ruined. He was complaining that after the last flood that happened before that one, his garden had been destroyed. So he spent 25k landscaping it, and he was pissed off it got ruined again. You live on a flood plain, are you retarded?
