why cant i edit my posts??

its really anoying that when i think of something i forgot to add to my previous post that i cant add anything to it, i have to make a new post. ive seen people being slagged off for not using the edit botton but there is no edit botton for me :S

yeah ive got shit loads of posts but still no edit botton, ive looked everywhere and in my user cp it says i cant have it, like greyed out. maybe i have to become the next star thingy below ya name before i can edit.
