I need a suggestion on a headunit that has outputs to run 2 amps as the JVC HU i have at the moment just has 'Line Out Rear' rca outputs. Does this mean i can use the one i have to run one amp until i get 2 amps as it wont be for a while anyway?

Connections on current HU..

Also, not bothered about it being fancy just need it to be able to play CDs and run 2 amps... that is all, don't need no fancy screen or mp3 or ipod/usb connections etc...

you can run as many amps as you like mate, just link the amps up with some 16 gauge wire from remote wire

the rcas you can link up multiple amps using the aux output on the amp

but for more control of speakers then yes 2 rca outputs on the headunit is better or you can add an equalizer

theres also speaker to rca adaptors available aswell as y splitters

So i could have 2 amps wired up to my current headunit? Would just need a few adjustments to the wiring?

I've seen the wiring diagrams you posted mate, it's just on that it has an RCA cable coming from each amp to the HU which i thought i guess i need a HU with 2 sets of RCA connections.

Each amp would have a red and white RCA connector right, so can you show me a pic of the connector i'd use to connect 2 sets of RCA cables to which would leave me with only one set of RCAs to plug into the HU? I'm blagged.

Surely it cant do the sound quality good if i'm using splitters, and also the connections on my HU says 'rear out' will this not affect it aswell as one amp will be running FRONT comps and the other will be the sub.

no adjustments just have the remote wire going to one amp and hen a wire from there to the other

for power dizzy blocks are ideal, tbh id use 3 one for eart one for remote and one for power

up to you what you want to do but i would get rid of that unit and get an alpine or pioneer, theres much more control of speakers that way and you can tweak the system much better

Can u suggest one of those HU's with 2 RCA connections please mate for as cheap as possible (Under £100) :y:

Yeah i stole your amp diagrams to post on another forum and i edited dizzy blocks onto it :P Just for the earth though but good to know it would be fine to use one on the remote wire too.

It's a JVC KD-S741r.. U think i'd be able to get like £30-40 for it? I've got the lil box for the front panel too.

yeah no bother whack it on ebay and see what you get for it, id say about 150 should get you a decent unit mate 100 is a bit low imo for a decent unit with 2 rca outputs

Okay thanks for your advice, sent you over some rep too as your always there to help when needed.

Say i get £150 together, would you go with alpine or pioneer? And can you recommend me a HU as there's that many to choose from i'd rather you just say a good one i can put on the list :)

If you're a little hard up then this one is very good for £120! Its got 2 pre-outs, one of which is a dedicated sub out.
