Got rid of the saxo today in part exchange for a golf. A few pics of the saxo when i left her. I felt kinda bad :( i kinda miss her a bit already :P

Hmm what can i say?
They are a nice solid car. The interior is a great place to be, million steps above a saxo!
People say you can't go for a slower car than your previous one, and i agree personally, sure you've made your choice for a reason though :)

I sold my vtr for a New vectra turbo, then sold that for a pug 406 coupe v6! now want something in between like a 306 cab.

my m8 has a golf 1.4 he hates it he says its slow as shit and its well slower then his 1.2 16v stilo he had b4 it,he's gettin rid of it soon he only had it 4 a few months,i fink they nice cars tho m8

golfs are like tanks never break my mates got a p reg gold tdi 170k on the clocks still runs spot on amazing them engines ;)

guess u like black? the saxo looked sweet, but the golf looks tidy, wud have to go euro if i owned a golf personally, why didnt you try and sell the saxo rather than part-ex? looked nice im sure you cud have got more money than a part-ex for it

there always gona do that with part ex's tbf, you could have prob sold it for abit more than 2k but wouldnt have sold it instantly, did he knock anymore than 2k of the golf?

nah he just gave me 2k off the golf and free years warranty which was £150 and he paid the £50 credit card charge :p

small update, bought a cupholder for my car :p no more can between the legs whilst driving anymore!

Thought cupholders were standard in the Golf?
Wish I could use the ones in 307....get anything from McD's and it won't fit because of handbrake!

That's how traders work, mate. They have to make money from punters. He'll have made profit out of selling your Saxo, and profit from selling the golf to you.
If you had sold your Saxo privately, you would definately have got more than £2000. But its always easier to part-ex, therefore you'll always get less. That's how it works. No point complaining about him makng a profit from your car.
