Rear tow eye?

Anyone know how the rear tow eye comes off, when you look at the back bumper where the cut out is, it looks as thought you have to take the rear tow eye off to remove the bumper as the cut out for it in the bumper is shaped funny and the bumper wont come off without removing the tow eye.

Hope that makes sense, im gunna spray up my rear tow eye but need to get it off, was gunna take the bumper off too but the tow eye hole is shaped funny not allowing the bumper to come off:wall:

You don't have to take the tow eye off for the bumper to come off... Just slots over it.

Thats what i thought, the cut out in the bumper looks as though its not going to pull over it though.

Pull harder. Mine came off easily when I took my bumper off.

undo the 6 bolts holding the rear bumper on, and gently pull it off. the towing eye will slide through the slot in the bumper
