battery light

my problem is that av got a new alternator n a new battery but the light is still on what can i do/. any ideas?

check the earth leads. make sure they aint a break in any of them

whats the battery reading when the car is running ? it should be 14v or some where arround that

Yes as Lee_Boy says check all the earth points and leads first, clean up the connections and spray with battery terminal spray for better conduction.

Also check the 2-pin connector plug and lead that comes off the top of the alternator down to the power steering pump, a break in that wire will also bring the battery light on as I found this prob on my gf's VTS

Was gonna suggest Alternator but Lee beat me to it, Lol! another earth strap to check would be at the top of the gearbox make sure this is secure as again it can cause this problem!
