Hey guys,
just a quick question,

Recently i had to change the water pump on my car, so inorder for me to do this i had to dis connect the ecu, and then take the cam belt off,

after a long time of trying managed to get the pump out with a lump hammer,

when the car was all put back together and the ecu was connected back up the car had problems starting, the car turns over but its not fireing, its like there is no compression there.
the timing is fine as it was marked up before the belt was taken off.

I took the car to a garage and they told me *the car has bent valves* so me being the idiot i am, i believed them, so i went and got another engine.
after putting the engine in the car and connecting everything back up, i found that the car still had the same problem.

I had a guy put the car on his computer and he told me that he wasnt getting any feed back from the ecu, although i did see that he was getting some reading. but if he selected to get ECU information, it just came up with ??? and that was it.

does anybody have any suggestions to wat the problem could be, i only had the car for 5 days and then the water pump went wrong and i have not been able to drive it since.

If anybody can help me with my situation i would be extremly grateful
this is starting to annoy me as i have to get the bus to work. and have dont for the last 2 months :(

sorry for the essay just thought i would tell you exactly what has happened and what is wrong with the car,
Thank you for reading.

all the wires are ok, all the wires are connected to the engine aswell, its weird when i put the ignition on, the car dash lights come on like you would expect, but when you try and start it, all you get is the engine turning and that is it, does not attempt to fire.
