Hello all,
I have just returned from a 400mile round trip & my car started whirring. I immediately thought it was a wheel bearing.
I rang my mechanic who is on holiday. He told me to take it to Dryden Citroen.
They have said my power steering pump has failed which i don't think it has because it works sometimes & doesn't other times. They have quoted me £490 for that job.
The wheel bearing has been quoted at £165 for one wheel bearing on my saxo vtr.
I live in the West Midlands in Birmingham. Does anybody know any mechanics or ppl who would be willing to sort it out without committing robbery?
