material under bonnet

the carpet that fixes under the bonnet, some people have it off some don't why is that ? i was thinking of removing mine. is it just a looks thing people are after or ??????:drink:

if you remove it get some paint because the tight arsed french tw@ts only spray around the edges of the bonnet, they leave the rest primered :wall:

Mine never even came with anything, I just wipeit with WD40 whenever I go over my engine bay and it stays shiny and in perfect condition

wieght is main reason i aint got one on mine, bonnet gets abit warmer than usaul tho after a long trip
