will the saxo 266mm calipers fit a vtr with vtr alloys straight way or are mods needed ? also will this really give any advantage?

Yeh man, they fit on but will probly have to grind the carrier down depending on which ones you get, braking is improved loads and fit some goodridges hoses while your at it they are beast.

They are easy mate they bolt straight on, and if you replace the hoses it makes the braking loads tighter on the pedal, no spongy feel mate.

i was always under the impression that they didnt need grinding, this was fitted on a mk1 diesel, so maybe they have different struts?

You need to grind the bit on the carrier above both bolts which sits closest to the strut or it wont physically bolt on mate, when u try and line it up it will become proper obvious as you wont be able to get them on.
