been spraying my rocker cover recently but due to needin my car everyday and not wanting to rush the job, ive been removing it and putting it back on each day doing a new coat. Has been coming off and going on fine but today i have a problem...when unscrewing the coil pack, on the side with the extra bolt holding on the small black thing with the wire coming from it, the bolt got jamed and caused the black thing (dont know wht its caled sorry) to come apart :s what is this for and is it important?? rep waiting

right its not a resistor or anythin like that, it is a condenser (SP) it is for stopping interference from the coilpack to the radio and its not inportant but you might pick up some noise on your radio.

hope that answers your question

you should be able to get just a normal condensor from halfords or else where then just replace it and just join the wire together.
Easy replacement done.
should only cost a couple of quid.
