Heyup,
Noticed my car has got a bit spluttery. Can't really describe engine noise any other way.... unless I said maybe sounds a bit diesel like ish. Performance hasn't changed, just sounds different and didn't happen overnight. Don't think fuel consumption has noticeably changed either.
I'm thinking injector(s), sparkies.... iffy compression (!), any pointers people?
Thanks

I'm gunna do the plugs when I'm back off my hols and do the brakes (unrelated) at the same time. Just wandering if it could be something like a sensor or overfuelling etc etc etc etc etc etc.... List goes on I know, but just after some advice.

same problem mate
was thinking to try the spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, just a general service really
lately my car also seems to lose power, than it all of a sudden kick in again, im not sure if this is related to the problem, hopefully its not my clutch on the way out!

Soz, meant how often should they be replaced? Seen sets of Bosch "super4" on eBay for a tenner or so, got to be cheaper than Halfords!

yeah ive also seen hundreds of sets of the bosch super4 for that kind of price on ebay, should really pull my finger out and buy a set lol
not sure on replacement lol. i dont think my cars had a service for 3 years (ive only owned it for a few months) but i guess 3 years is pushing it a bit!

Crikey! General engine maintenance, I'm doing oil+filter every 5k now, fuel filter and coolant every year. I hope you got the price down for that fact when you bought it!?!?
Let us know how you get on and whoever nails it gets the beers in.

haha, yeah i got it at a relativly good price, just had MOT when i got it so nothing serious wrong, but as you say - general engine maintanence, i think i might book it in for a full service, i can some bits myself, but wouldnt mind just getting it all looked at, ill give all the sensors a clean
as for the beers - sounds like a plan :y::drink:
good luck finding the soloution mate
