Just wondering which way does the van have to be facing to catch you? Do you have to be driving towards the front of the van or back to be caught? If its the front then im done for, it was hiding behind a bus shelter and i was overtaking on a double lane at traffic lights because the car in front was slow.

It was the van with the 2 blacked out windows at the back.

I thought it was behind. As the Camera is usually out the back. If thats what you mean!

Do they catch you coming towards the back of the van or front?

This one didnt have a flap as i came past it again going the other way and the right blacked out window had like a light in it.

there on ur side of the road facing same direction! thats all the ones i have seen away! they must be at a minimal angle to get a tru reading anyway!

Hope so, he was hidden proper coming towards the front of the van but when i came the other way you could see him more clearly so i sure hope they catch you from the back of the van.

I just go so fast past them like in Tokyo drift, and they don't even care.

Not true, you can be driving towards or away from the van and they can still catch you. How ever the camera usually points out the BACK of the van, where there are windows...

So if you came upto the front of the van and slowed down by the time you passed the van, you should be ok.

HTH.

The gun points out the back and can get you coming towards them or going away.

They don't have to be at a minimal angle as to get a true reading they'd have to be directly in front of you. The greater the angle the SLOWER the speed reading so it works in your favour as I mentioned in a previous post it's known as the cosine effect.

Definately front and back, get them round here usually getting cars coming down the huge hill. It might of been adjusted to just get the one lane though you still have a small chance of hope lol.

ive never seen a camera in the front of a van, there always out of the back but can still get you going towards, away, or from both sides of road, however aparently they are only allowed to have the camera operating for certain time periods e.g. 20 mins recording 20 mins not recording, lets just hope he was avin a tea break!!
