cheers mate think the second one is the best option and wont look out of place with the rest of the jbl stuff:y:

I am also thinking of getting the same sub and amp deal again then that would mean two 12" woofers and 720wrms from them wouldn't it?

how would I split the cables to the second sub amp?

not that simple mate, as having two of the same packages will not only fill your whole boot. but having two amps to run the same thing (effectivly) will sound odd as its near impossible to set them up exactly the same

called scoping or something

if you want two subs your guna have to upgrade to one big monoblock

EDIT: the subs handle 300wrms so 2 of them would make 600wrms

i think they are dual2ohm? if so, get a jbl 7001 which will give 700wrms at 2ohms, and power 2 of the same jbl sub nicely.

Definitely go for the jbl 75.2 to power the components. Its a great piece of kit for the money!

As ash said, you would be better buying one powerfull amp rather than having 2 seperate ones.

If you are just after more output, try making a new box for the sub. These things really do boom in a good sized ported box! You will be amazed at the difference a box can make!;)

just realised the jbl75.2 has been discontinued. and CAS will replace orders with the new version

only problem is the new version only has 2x75wrms at 4ohms

the rainbows are 80wrms iirc

allthough underpowering is ok. youd probly be better getting something with at least 90wrms at 4ohms to power them sufficiently

yeah the rainbows are 80wrms but if I am only underpowering them by 5w each that shouldnt matter to much. I was thinking of getting a ported box but couldn't find one that was the right size. The leaflet thing that comes with the sub has a pritty usless diagram of a ported sub box as it ony tells you the volume of the box and not the dimentions. not the same sub but the same leaflet that was in the box

click on the "boxes and parameters" from the link you showed us

this will tell you measurements.. then get on the phone to bfuk and get a box built!!!!!

and underpowering is fine. but overpowering is better, relieves strain on eqiuptment, and gets the optimum use out of your speakers :) for that reason the kenwood with 2x100wrms at 4ohms is better

the link only gives the dimentions of the port not the actual box because if I knew the lenght depth and height I would build it myself and save money

Get yourself on talkaudio ftw!

Theyre all very helpfull, and loads of people run the gto subs so they will be able to advise you better than anyone on here!

You want to build a slot ported box. Ideally you want about 2cuft tuned to 33-34hz.

cheers mate, when you say tuned to a certain frequancy what does that mean?

The sub will peak (be loudest) at that frequency.:y:

what frequancy would you reccomend I mostly listen to hip hop music and dance music?

Mmm... Tricky combination is that!

Hip hop definitley favours a ported box, but dance sounds better sealed imo.

Port it and tune to about 34hz for all round playability!:y:

think a ported box is next on the list of things to buy:y:
