Anyone watched it?
Think it's just put me off eating in pubs and especially Harvester.
Funny enough the Harvester shown was Brighton showing how slippy the floor was, chefs dropped chicken on the floor, picked it back up and said, well it ain't me eating it and cooked it.
Can't believe I have eaten there.
Makes you think tbh!

Seen that one matey, I can't belive a large big mac meal is better for you (fat and salt wise) than a expensive assed sarnie from marks n spencers!

haha but do we believe half this crap we see?
those sarnies areok... but now id avoid them totally!
i bet its the same with most food we buy

Yeah, I bet it's same with everywhere to be honest.
In my area we have a scheme for 'Scores on the Doors'. It's for food businesses that are rated on the cleaniness of 1* to 5*'s.
The KFC has 5 Stars so Outstanding.
Local Sandwich Shop has 3 Stars.
I can't see KFC been the better one, they all get warnings before hand.

haha yeah. i worked in a pub and we dont get warnings.... they turn up and we clean like fuck haha

in australia food outlets/restaurants etc are graded a,b,c, etc and they must display this on the front of the outlet so customers know the state of the place they are eating at, they are checked up on quite frequently too there was a programe about it on sky yonks ago

After working in McDonalds for 3 years I can easily say that they were one of the cleanest places I have ever seen and the rules of food being out of date etc were very strict (lots of inspections from management) Think about it, they cant risk having a store so bad it gets shut down, they would lose business nationwide!
But saying that, the checks were internal and not by the government so maybe some are worse than others. Definately a rating like sharpy has mentioned would be useful

I like these programmes. Rogue Traders were good.
I saw a man drop a chicken fillet in the bin at the massive KFC in Southampton. He put his hand down into the bin and picked it up. Just as he picked it up he looked up to see if anyone saw and I was staring right at him. I just shook my head whilst staring right at him and he dropped the bit of chicken back in the bin. Probably went back through the bin when I left though....

i saw a lasagne in cling film,it was mouldy,some1 phoned up for a lasagne to take away, 'im not eating it and you wont see the mould once cooked' if i had realised it was my mate that phoned in the order i would have stopped it,but it was to late it was already eaten, made my stomach turn tbh, also saw mould on chips in 1 freezer while i was sticking a temp gauge in while testing the appliance, fcukin disgusting
white fluff on lasagne cannot describe how i felt when i saw it,and i ended up reporting but trading standards didnt even appear!

"What happens in the kitchen, stays in the kitchen"
I've worked in 4 different resteraunts now and all use that motto ;)
I've worked in Pizza Hut, Pizza Express, McDonalds and an Italian resteraunt
It happens in all of them, but Pizza Express was by far the cleanest

I friend of mine worked in KFC and dropped an ice cream. He put it in the bin and gave the customer a new one. The boss told him to take it out and put it in the fridge as it was still useable. Thats rank
Worked in a resturant also and even just some of the people cooking the food look like shite.

I understand why they say that motto, but it has kind of put me off eating out now.

Did anyone watch that Sandwich thing on C4? The factory workers threw away the pitta breads cos they were too dry and crumbling and the manager came over, got them out of the bin and told them to keep using them. They also coughed and sneezed all over the food. These were for Marks and Spencer, boots etc. So wrong.

Going to an expensive restraunt will not guarantee you dont get skanky food you know, my Uncle who has been a head chef in some of the best hotels in the country and is now some kind of advisor says even some of the best restraunts have foul kitchens

I've just gone back to working for Brewers Fayre as a chef, used to be a bistro chef. These programs disgust me that there are so called chefs out there that do such things with food. If i drop something then it goes straight in the bin and STAYS THERE!
I'm very tight on food safety as i'm the one liable if somebody gets food poisoning!

Same here... used to work for Vintage Inns and I now work for Greene King, always used the same strict methods for cleanliness.
If it's dirty, it goes in the bin. If it's out of date, it goes in the bin... no day dots, bin, etc, etc.
I just don't know how some people seriously think that they can risk other people's health with that kind of thing...
