Immobiliser problem help plz

Hi,

I've just joined this forum got a problem with my R reg vtr. Its been parked up for about 2 years because i've been on a driving ban. Gone to get it back on road now and the code for the keypad just doesn't do anything. The light just stays red. Was looking on ebay and some people reckon its the ecu but then someone else mentioned if i press the reset button for the car it will do the trick. Any ideas? Anyone know where the reset button is situated on the car?

one thing i can say is i dont think there will be a reset button, due to it being a bit of a security problem. Someone pops the doors reset button and there away, But i could be wrong.

this company i was talking to with regards to another ecu were the ones that told me there is some sort of reset button but the guy wasnt exactly sure wat it does. He said it would be in the wing or under the hood somewhere but you know its gonna be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
