i've had it these lights....

mid feburary i brought a pair of ULTRA angel eye headlights, very happy when they arrived, popped them on straight away as i was probably the first saxo in kent to have them... very pleased with them until 3 days after i got them, one side of the rings blew out. so i get the number for ultra send them back and they send me a new set... takes 5 and a half weeks!!! the replacement set i recieve are very poor quality, theres cracks and chips down the side on the indicator part, i put them on thinking i could live without the hassel of sending them back, but a few days later i wash the car, and spot a trickle of water running into one of the headlights, and forming a puddle of water on the bottom. that steamed up the headlight for almost a week, and after that had dried up, there were water marks inside... so again, i send them back with a nice friendly letter explaining these were my second pair and what the problem was this time... so i get a lovely new set...over a month later!!- and they are no better then the first two sets!

by this time i had had enough, so i brought some non ultra angel eyes, they arrived last week and i must say i am VERY pleased with them. they are 10x better build quality, they didnt leak/steam up after a wash, and they do look just as good, for 50 quid less!! and i even recieved instructions on how to fit them!!!

my only beef with these are that the rings arent as bright as the ultra ones in the daytime, but they look the nuts in the early evening. the rings are blueish white too, which at first i wasnt too keen on but now i love it!!

i think i will send them back once more and try for a refund, although i doubt i will get one as i didnt purchase them from them directly. the best i can think of is sending them back gettin a new pair, and providing those ones are ok, whack them om ebay.

has anyone else had any grief with their ULTRA angel eye headlights?
has anyone got a non unltra set and had any grief?

i must admit i have nothing but praise for Ultras and GSMotorsport's customer service. I ordered my sister one of the first pairs of angel eyes for her 206 in the country. The first set an angel eye blew so then sent a new one no questions asked. The two atopped working a few weeks back. Ultra and GSMotorsport arranged two brand new headlights for me and also picked the old ones up free of charge.

These new ones are new designs that should have the problems ironed out but i havent got around to putting them on yet. Top notch service though maybe taking time to perfect designs??

i wouldnt go on just this failure, ones like Essex Racing are prone to break etc, Gaz bought some i believe and had great trouble

at least with Ultra if you do have problems they are happy to sort it all out for you smileys/happy.gif

Why go Rimstyle when there are 2 traders that sell the lights on here

PM me for a price, you may be suprised smileys/happy.gif

dont by from Ebay as the seller may not have an official count with Ultra so aftersales would be a problem
