I was driving home from work on Wednseday night, (6/7/2005) the weather was bad all day, and
it had been raining for most of the day so they roads were slippy anyway. I came off the at
the junction i wanted, approached the roundabout and stopped. I then set off when the
traffic was clear, i accelerated a bit to quickly and entered the 2nd roundabout corner abit
quicker than i should have...... and it stepped out to the left, so i steered into the spin
to try and bring it back, i accelerated to try and get grip, it massivily oversteered and
slid up the pavement, and into the bridge barrier (which was a 60ft drop to the motorway)
i bounced off the barrier, still on full lock, and ended up with the back off the car sat
against the barrier on the pavement and with the front end sat in the road.

Another driver stopped to see if i was alright, whilst she as slowing down, someone ran into
the back of her and drove off. I called the police, my mates and my Dad, to tell everyone
what had happened, the police turned up, i gave a full report and stuff, and that was nearly
that, to cut a long story short, a called a recovery firm, i got the car taken home.
And its now left outside my house waiting for the insurance company.

i've tried elbow grease, C.V joint grease, door hinge grease and nothing is lifting them out. i've give up on that plan now, hopefully its a write off and i can start planning my new car.

thanx for all your concerns. im after a 106 quicksilver next... staying french just not saxo (cheaper to insure)

yes they got the reg number for the van that hit the woman and drove off.

the speedlines have slight kerb damage but will survive to live another day.

about my rear axel, im not to sure how i'd go about getting it, would it not be better to buy a VT* axel and have rear discs?
