Torsion bar - make higher anyone can do it nr Canterbury kent?

hello

I have been quoted £150 by a garage to make my torsion bar higher, this needs to be done so i can insure my car, (churchil are doing me fully comp CHEAP) but they cannot insure any one with mods below the age of 25, im 19 and 1st time driver I have a saxo westcoast which is on the floor, can anyone recomend local garages they have used or would anyone do it for a better price?

I Havent yet they dont know, my parents the most annoying people in the world and are going crazy at me about it, Im tepmted to to tell them and just insure it as standard, if I was to crash would they still pay out for the other car? and then just not mine or just deduct money from my claim? Will I bought it like this I thought it was standard do?

nah m8 wen i wrote my corsa off i had done a shit load in da engine bay, it was lowered, nothing declared and i got payed out in ful, and no1 sed anythin, bt its just luck of the draw

exactly play dumb!
my saxo was written off and i declared it standard
it was lowered, had upgraded rear and front lights, exhaust etc etc
if u so crash though..... take the bits off that you can and put them to normal if you can then play dumb to the rest of it all!

martins motors in hern bay. around £100, cant remember the number though, its near the station i think
