It's just because people are idiots :y:
If you're not an idiot, you'll be fine

Because you're really in-experienced and you never know when an accident is gonna happen so you just drive like your really experienced even though your not. And too quick. and you dont understand about lift off oversteer etc.

Saxo's are super capable little car's as i'm sure people who have done trackdays will agree..they are fine..just drive to your limits..

I crashed my car 3 times in my first year of driving.
That was back in 1992. I was on a company insurance policy though, so it didnt make any difference (well, it cost the company more to have me on the policy, but didnt cost me any)

Trick is, don't try to be a hero as soon as you passed. Be modest, build up a no-claims and clean record, and you're sorted. Due to driving carefully I started with a 60bhp 1.3 KA at 18, a VTS at 19 and now a Type-R at 20. Never had a crash or bang, because I didn't immitate knobs belting around in 1.2's.
Its all about being sensible, not driving like an idiot, staying safe and getting your insurance down that little bit :y:

I was a bit worried after reading peoples posts about crashing.
But end of the day, you need to drive to the road conditions instead of speed limits sometimes. I.e when it rains!

it's the drivers, not the cars! i got a vtr as soon as i passed my test and i had that for 2 years and i haven't crashed!!
