Right lads and lasses. Whats the better mod...in your opinions, a decat pipe, a new manifold or just wait for a bit and buy both? Performance and sounds are the areas under consideration!
Cheers

id say both together with a forced air induction kit then get it chipped.

does yours have the cat under the car or in the manifold? if its in the manifold then all you need is the manifold.

id go for both tho matey.

right dan, I knew youd have the answer ;) mines a 2002 car so it has the cat attached to the manifold. if I were to replace the manifold would that mean I needed a decat pipe to make up the extra distance coz im assuming the front pipe wouldnt reach? Help me out here smileys/happy.gif

no you wouldnt need a de-cat pipe as the manifold will have that included, so all you need is the manifold to de-cat it.

the aftermarket manifold will be alot longer than the standard ones and will act as a de-cat too.

just keep hold of your standard manifold with the cat pipe in if you do get a performance manifold mate you'll prob need to put it back in come MOT time
