Just went to do a trial fit on my strut brace and it wont sit properly (the bolts are still so this might have something to do with it). I cant get it on because of the little red thing next to the passenger side strut. It's a MK2 VTR, believe the strut brace is Sparco, not sure as its 2nd hand.
Just wanna know what the little red thing is really and if I need to move it when I fit the strut brace later this week. Cant transfer pic from my phone for some reason!:wall:

thats the fuel cut off switch. whatever you do dont press it...you'll need to re-position it. nothing a small nut and bolt wont cure :y:

Usually with the strut brace you get a some instructions and a bolt, nut and washers to move it.
It moves to the other side of the bracket close to the fuse box. There is a hole there for it, instead of it being on 2 bolts you can only fit it with one as the bracket only has one hole in it.
Have a look in my progress thread and you'll see where it gets moved too.

I was so close to pressing it. Had a little touch but nothing clicked, quickly ran out and started car! :panic:

I pressed mine by accident, went to start car and no fuel injection, pressed it again and started first time.
Yeah you'll see exactly where it fits when you look next to the strut the side of the fuse box, bracket with one hole in it:y:

It dont matter if you press it as it just resets it.
Its if you have a bump it cuts the fuel off by popping out, so to restart the car you need to press it so that fuel will plow.
