Want to eventually get a beast of a bike just to take out on a summers day, than use the car for the rest of the year. Won't be for another 2 years or so though.

them lot too then
any 600cc apart from suzuki bandit will do me, and rapido lol
my plan is keep the VTS til im 21... providing its running perfect and not breaking down every 3months and is how i want it;) and i will have no debts etc etc
should be able to get a nice bike for 4k in full cash and roar round in the bike at 21 lol... and run the VTS too but thats something that is impossible to predict tbh for example if i was to write off my vts lol

Just to witness the all out speed, it would be worth it, just as a toy. Would only use it during the summer really, don't fancy killing myself during the harsh winter months. GSXR-1000 for the summer, Type-R for the spring, autumn and winter ftw :P

Yamaha R6 for me. Really want one when I turn 21, but am in the same shit as Karl. At the end of the day it's my decision (I'm an adult apparently)
These really do it for me too. My uncle has one exactly the same as this, sounds beautiful and goes like stink so he says

LOL- My parents would not allow me to get one as long as I'm living with them. Wayy too dangerous in their opinion. They don't care how quick my cars get etc, but bikes are off limits to them, especially these super-quick ones.
I'll probably still get a gixer or similar soon enough just to play with on the weekends, looks like damn good fun...
and as said the speed you experience is just out-this-world. Worth it? Hell yeah.

r6 all the way, that picture don't do it any favours in them colours imo. but they are by far the best lookin' usually. i would be happy with a 600 i think my mates got a k5 gsxr and it's fukin rapid!! although r6's are meant to be quite a bit quicker!! no chance i'll even be avin a 125 while livin' at home tho.

if i were back in the situation where i had just passed my bike test then i wish i had got a classic 250cc eg a rgv 250 or a tzr 250 they are rapid as fuck and have the frames of a 125 they go round corners so bloody quick
but if you want a real bike go for r6 they are really nice to ride at slow speed and really exhilarating to ride at highspeed most i have had out of one was 155mph

I started riding at 16, with a Derbi Senda 50cc motorcross bike.. saved all summer and bought it brand new! £2050.. Keep it pristine and did 10k on it! In a year.. I'd already bought a ZXR400 about 7 months before my 17th birthday.. working weekends I was spending all of my money rebuilding the ZXR..
Passed my full bike test on my 17th birthday, no lessons.. just a test.. so I had restricted license 33bhp.. Got the kit for the ZXR at cost of £150.. sent certificate off to insurance company, never fitted the kit.. so full power ZXR400 at 17! Yay! 66bhp, top speed 135mph.. no bad to be honest!
Again, I wanted another project, so I bought a GSXR1100 K series, the one with the oil cooled 1127cc engine.. What a monster! Loved it, streetfighter style.. So much torque, power wheelies everywhere..
Recently I bought a Kawasaki ZX636.. probably use that more than I use the Saxo or the Mercedes, I took it to work today in the rain.. I just love riding, weather doesnt bother me! Bike's always clean and always garaged.. :)
Just be careful! Know you limits and always wear full protection!

Haha.. I know.. I destroyed the fork seals.. but got new ones after I knew they had gone, also headstock bearings.. Loads of fun though!
Was 16.. bought the bike from new, I'm not the kind of person though that will break something or let something wear and leave it, I did 10k on that bike, rebuild the little 2 stroke engine at 10k even though it didnt need it, replaced all fork seals, chains and sprockets, brakes.. etc.. was well looked after! Awesome for wheelies and stoppies! Mini hooligan bike!

Theres not any noticeable difference between the 4 main manufacturer 600's
just about what suits your ride position and what looks you fancy.
tho, the kwak zx6r's are 636cc so have more power and ready built for the track as standard, so the ride is baaaaad.

New R6 is the most powerfull 600 money can buy at the moment, also the quickest, and it pretty much is a track bike for the road :y:
p.s i have one :fcuk:
Ive always loved GSXRs and will definatly get another one. But yes it does depend on what you want and your style

none of u know me just joined but this thread caught my attention. been riding bikes for nearly two years got a crf and suzuki sv 650, you may know ur saxos thats for sure but u dont know your bikes, tbh dont buy a new R6 the engines are shit and too revvy unridable imo. if u are looking for a first bike dont buy a sports bike u will either injure urself or die!!! lol. buy something rideable my sv is only 70 brake it sees 130+mph and keeps up with my dads bandit 1200 and trust me its f***ing quick. work your way up. sorry for the rant:fcuk:

the man speeks truth. bikes are not like cars, you do need to work your way up tbh. a mistake on a bike is not as easily correctable in a car.
start with anything 250cc. sm wooooooop.

everyone watch out JMC knows about bikes hes being riding for 2yrs!! dont make me laugh son people on here do more than just drive saxos! and how the fuck can a engine be to revvy and if its unridable why would on of the most successful manufacturers release it! you only way to kill yourself on a sports bike is if you ride it recklessly! i o agree though if you are just learning to ride then a 600 is not the way to go try a 50 or 125!

im not trying to be cocky, i agree that i havnt been riding for long and ive got a lot more to learn but it dosnt mean i dont know anyting about bikes. as for the R6 (the new one) you read reviews about them and theyll say exactly what i said, yeah there good on track (cos there revvy) but shit on the road theres no power till 14,000rpm doing that amount of revs probably even in first gear you need to be doing 70mph try doing that everywhere. :boxing:

you can go on and on and on about what bike is best (same shit on every forum)
you wouldn't possibly notice the difference between the 600's unless your a veteran on the track. It's all about how good a rider you are (and how big your balls are)
go with whatever fits you best. They will all beat eachother.
if u are looking for a first bike dont buy a sports bike u will either injure urself or die!!! lol
I didnt injure myself or die.
