Ye just like a quick interview but over the phone. I hate them as you just hear them typing away while you wait for them to finish typing what you say lol.

Still gotta go through a propa interview aswell after that stage.

good luck.

Phone interview is like a quick talk with the usual questions, it's usually followed by a proper interview iirc :err:

I had an RBS interview the other week. You have to do a maths interview first before they start the real interview. You are allowed to write down your workings out but not use a calculator, then they ask you sinario questions. Make sure you answer them in really deep detail because they always ask for you to expand on your question. Once the interview is over they tell you over the phone if you passed the phone interview or not and if they are going to let you onto the next face-to-face interview stage.

they told me it will last about an hour, glad it's on 0800 number! hope my scummy blackpool accent doesn't put them off, i wouldn't mind the £800 a month wage :P

ha! thing is though, some of the questions are ones you cant physically do on a calculator. They are mostly questions like 'if a person had a loan for £3000 at £150 how many months wouldit take for them to pay it back' and 'there is a discount of 25% off a holiday, what was the original price' that sort of thing. Just easier to write it down as you go so you dont get the question wrong lol, thats what i found anyway. i'm sure you will be fine.

hate phone interviews, can't even remotely gauge how you did from the tone of their voice unless you say something completely stupid or offensive
