As some of you may or may not remember my thread a while back about my my wisdom teeth hurting etc and saying I have got to have all 4 taken out and have to go to hospital blah blah blah.

I lied, heres how...

I went to the Hospital today, for a consultation, waiting for yonks as you do to have an xray on my mouth.

Had it and then went to the consultation room about the removal of all 4 teeth.

Get in there and she goes "Im amazed, only about 2 people a year are thought to be born with more than 4 wisdom teeth, you have 6"

Yes 6.... I have 4 coming out in nasty places, 2 going into my cheek bone, the other two are acually above and behind my normal teeth.

I have to go to hospital for up to 3 days to have them removed.
Im shitting a brick, never had to stay in overnight, never had an operation or nothing.

She explained they have to literally cut my mouth open and take these special ones out.

Jimo.... pussy or allowed to be scared?

I had teeth removed when I was younger for having my new ones coming over my old ones. I don't see point in wisdom teeth.

Yeh your not a pussy mate, loads people hate the dentist let alone any operations in their mouth.

I wouldn't want it done either, best of luck though, least it will be sorted in the long run.

Are they going to put you to sleep to do it? If they do, then its not as bad as you wont know what happened you will just have lots of pain after. But they should give you enough painkillers to stop the pain aswell!! If they do it by numbing your mouth, then it will be scary!!

Went in for an op in March and had to go under for it, was only in for a day like.
Was bricking it, and was blatently obvious!
Met the team who did the op afterwards and got extremely embarrassed!

Ask for Diclofenac (sp) Codiene and Paracetamol afterwards, makes you feel amazingly surreal!

pussy tbh, been in an operation and had 5 teeth removed, didnt feel a thing but a slight numbness in my mouth afterwards. had 4 teeth pulled when i was awake, that was worse.

Had some teeth removed when I was a young teen as they were stuck to the jaw. Worst part was the dissolvable stitches - needed to rinse my mouth with hot water and salt. Not pleasant.

I also saw my first ever X-files episode in the hospital as my Dad stayed with me overnight.

i had a tooth removed by over night surgery its nothing to worry about.. the stiches are all dry and bloody when you wake up thats the worst bit i thought :D
