jolt/knock noise

Just had the car lowered 50mm, now when going from 1st to 2nd gear (and occasionally from 2nd to 3rd, and 4th down to 3rd) I'm hearing a a single jolt/knock noise from the front end (like something is being pulled back slightly, loose or not sitting right)

Going to take it back up the garage tomorrow, but would like some idea of what it could be now...

could be lower engine mount. although this wouldnt be affected by lowering it unless they took your engine out to do it

Sounds like engine mount get a bar into the lower mount and feel for play

is it normal to only feel it when going through the gears then? 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, 4th down to 3rd...

when you let the clutch out or if you come of the throttle it will do it ie knock plus you will feel it move

yeah that's kind of what I'm getting... engine mounts then? how much am I looking at to sort that? and it has only started since being lowered, is that because there is more pressure on it or?

a new mount from citreon is bout 15-20quid iirc. easy job to do yourself really

hmm.. it was fine before it got lowered so I'm a bit stumped now :S

can do but they expensive and you need to muck about with the powerflex one. the citreon one is all ready assembled

thats an original one, to use a powerflex one you have to remove the rubber part of the old one then put it into the metal outer
