car miss firing

hi all, new to the forum so not sure how everythin wrks. any was wondering if anyone had any ideas wgat might be up wiv my saxo vts. if i pull up at some lights on an incline and apply the clutch and brake occasionly on pull off the revs drop to 500rpm and all the power goes til i give it lots of revs to pull away. any ideas , would be very grateful?:P

hi m8 iv just sighned up cuz i got the same prob wid my vtr i recon its summit to do wid idle control or coil pack or even both dose your engine light flicker on and or and dose it missfire at high revs

is the light the orange 1 wiv the sort of skid mark diagram? haha. mine's been on since i brought it i jus covered it wiv black tape. feels like the cars judderin wen drivin at a constant speed and seems to miss fire slightly on tick over, feels like a sort of pulse running through the car every couple of seconds. only jus had the cam belt, clutch, waterpump and drive shaft replaced last wk.

check these:
idle control valve
throttle position sensor
Coil pack
lambda sensor
crank sensor
fuel pressure regulator
fuel pump
also check for loose sensors, or disconnected wires!

put sum red x in the petrol tank that sorted my vtr out :), mine would idle atal at 1 point must of been the fuel injecters

car with a skid mark? thats the abs light i thought. unless the car is broken or running badly, this isnt a problem. dont worry about it till the car is actually broken, because more than likely if its only happening at traffic lights it sounds like its just your fans kicking in.

No No! Ive got the same problem with mine, been told its the engine coolant sensor? :wacko: iv got the same symbol come up on the dash with the skidmarks on the diog it was sayin its the rear wheel sensor so im not sure but ever since that lights come on my cars been misfiring and have no power on acceleration, driving at a constant speed you can feel the car misfiring!
