Hi,
When i take my foot off the throttle the revs will stay up for second or so before coming down. i think its the throttle cable sticking so ive sprayed some wd40 on it, but is there any other causes? Is there a return spring in the pedal box that might be sticking?

Thanks

Sam

I'd open up the engine and manually check the throttle. You can open and close it from there. If that is working freely that is good

The problem is then limited to the actual cable. They can dry out sometimes which makes them stiff, sticky or snap. Get a new cable for a few quid and replace it
