hello people.

as you know the vts is still kind of standard and even though i am loving the power compared to the vtr, i need to start modding and quick.

last weekend, i sold my vts wheels to a mate from ssc. i currently have his 15" dare v2's as a temporary measure until my wheels arrive. so, i feel like a chav as im driving a saxo with alloys and the rest of the car is completely standard. well, apart from the tinted windows. so, not everybody knows its me driving. hehe!

i have also sold the vtr, which eventually went on ebay for £3,500. the bloke should be picking it up tomorrow at 1pm, so i will have a bit of money to pay off the loan i took out for the vts.

on sunday, me and a couple of mates attempted fitting the bmc induction kit. we took the original air box and hoses off and got the cda unit in position only to find out that the pipes were too small for the cda unit. being a sunday, bmc were closed and i couldnt really phone john at 2modified and ask him (well, i did anyway) but he couldnt do anything until this morning. i then decided to take a trip to a local motor supplies shop and purchase the pipe from the throttle body and another for the breather pipe.

anyway, i got in contact with bmc this morning and they said i should have had a re-sizing piece that would connect the existing hose from the throttle body to the cda unit. i told him i haven't got anything like that, they said they would send it out free of charge so i should it within a couple of days.

as for the breather pipe and the filter not fitting within it. the bloke from bmc said the filter is to be connected straight onto the rocker cover and not via the tubing. i was like... oh shit!!! so as soon as i receive this re-sizing thing, i will attempt at re-fitting it and will then post pics up.

ok, so now my car. well as some of you know, i ordered some 15" deep dish borbet type e's and a 60mm vsx suspension kit from john at 2modified. the wheels had to come over from germany and i found out that they are now in the country. tyres only need fitting and so they should be with me by friday.

as for the suspension kit. i ordered this at the same time but john told me spax have had a few problems with the rear shocks on the vsx kit. so as we speak, they are making a new set for the rear. i was told that due to this minor issue, the kit will take about 3-4 weeks.

as i found out the wheels were in the country and i could have them by the weekend, i wanted to chase up this suspension kit to see what the current state of play was. after coming off the phone to spax, they said that if customers (i.e. me) are wanting the vsx kit, then they will chuck in the rear shocks from the psx kit (which have the adjustable dampers) free of charge. i was like WOW! so im not paying any more money but am now getting the adjustable psx kit smileys/smiley4.gif they have that in stock and could be sent out either tomorrow or wednesday so i should have that by the weekend.

i have provisionally booked my car in to be lowered this coming saturday, if i get my suspension kit and/or wheels. if i dont have the wheels in time, then i can put them on at a later stage. but as long as i can get my car in and lowered, then im happy.

so hopefully on saturday, my car will be slammed 60mm and on some sexxxy 15" deep dish rims. as said before, if all goes according to plan, i will give it a thorough clean and take lots and lots of pics for you all to drool over smileys/smiley2.gif

the ssc southern lam is on sunday, so maybe my car will be done for that smileys/smiley14.gif hope to see some of you there. ill use this thread to keep you updated and let you know if i experience any more problems or delays smileys/smiley5.gif

as said before, hopefully by sunday, i should have some pics up in the

yeh i know. very good indeed of spax to sort that out. and with me going through john at 2modified, im an exception and not being charged any extra for it. the price difference between the two kits is £100, so ive done quite well.

i had a little something waiting for me when i got home after lastnight at work.

i also received the missing part to the bmc induction kit, so that was installed lastnight. took a while but we managed to get there in the end. just have to make a few minor adjustments.
