The JBL 75.2 (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/2910.html) would be a great option. It may be at the top end of you're budget, but with a healthy 100rms @ 4 ohms you really cant go wrong!:y:

With regards to the wiring kit, what is you're set up? If its just a small component amp then 8 gauge will do the trick. But if you have a sub and amp, let me know how many watts rms it is and i'll guide you as to what thickness cable you need.

ok i will get that amp then seen it new on ebay £76 delivered. is that amp purely for the components or can it be wired up with a sub?? i havent got a sub yet, i only just got the car and its all standard so want to fit it out only JBL gear. i was thinking of gettin a separate amp for a sub when i buy one. is that the right thing to do ?? or is the one you have recommended me capable of powering the components and a sub?? or does it reduced the power?? i was thinking of gettin a JBL GT4 sub if that makes any difference

soz for all the questions bud im a bit of a dummy when it comes to electrics, n im supposed to be a mechanic lol

Well the best way to do it is to buy a 2 channel amp for the speakers, then another mono amp for the sub(s).

Although you can buy 4 channel amps, which will power 2 speakers and a sub.

I stumbled over this Fusion 5 channel (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fusion-1000W-5-Channel-Amp-Amplifier-EN-AM10005_W0QQitemZ290251858708QQcmdZViewItem?hash=i tem290251858708&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318) beasty the other day, which is more than capable of running a whole system.

whats your budget mate? if i was you id spend the money on comps (jbls iirc youve gone for?) the jbl amp as suggested by coonper in an above post (jbl gto 75.2 iirc?)

and then you could spend £130 on a pacakge from cas

thats if it all fits into your budget?

so basically would be

jbl comps £42
jbl 75.2 amp £80
sub amp package £130

also.. if your going to get the set up as suggested in my post above id run 4awg wire down the car into a distribution block. then 2 lengths of 8awg wire into each amp from the block

this will be a better method of wiring the amps :y:

honestly mate the only package id consider buying is the one i suggested for £129

and awg is gauge lol.. so 4gauge wire (quite thick) to the boot into a distribution block (which effectively turns 1 wire into 2) and then 2 lengths of 8gauge wire (thinner than 4gauge) into each amp

does that help a bit lol?

yeh that helps, apart from wots a distribution block, should that already be in the car??

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/8394.html is this package still gonna sound good mate? i want to get this box is all, i know the amp is probs better in the one you recommended just like the look of this box more :).

Distrubution block - basically you run along a 4awg cable from battery into this block, and it allows you to then run several other power cables from it to different amps. Make sense?

So you could run a 4awg to it and it let you have say 3/4 8awg outlets or 2 4awg outlets from it.

They usually dont tend to come with a mix of cables. Best of buying different lengths of both and doing it that way.

If it werent for the crappy amp with This package (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/7720.html) then it would sound great! This box is of a bandpass design, which is basically the highest outputting design you can get. It is very hard to prefect this kind of box, but there is no question about JBL's experience in this field!

Ring or email CAS and see if they will put a JBL 75. amp in with the deal instead! Then it would be a force to be wreckond with!;)

As said mate, best off to buy a 4 gauge wiring kit (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUTOLEADS-PC4-60-1200W-AMP-4-GAUGE-AMPLIFIER-WIRING-KIT_W0QQitemZ330259777726QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item3 30259777726&_trkparms=72%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318), then put that into a Fused Distribution Block (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BOSS-AUDIO-2-WAY-CAR-AMPLIFIER-FUSED-DISTRIBUTION-BLOCK_W0QQitemZ230279719676QQcmdZViewItem?hash=ite m230279719676&_trkparms=72%3A3270%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318), then feed both you're amps with 8 Gauge Cable (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BOSS-AUDIO-8AWG-CAR-AMPLIFIER-HIGH-POWER-OFC-WIRE-CABLE_W0QQitemZ260273184657QQcmdZViewItem?hash=ite m260273184657&_trkparms=72%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318) from the distribution block.:y:

EDIT : Shop around and see how cheap you can find it if you can! Maplins would be your best bet for the 8 gauge cable. Its about £2 per metre.:y:

only £30 + free postage :fcuk:

Yes, that will do the job mate. 60rms @ 4 ohms will do those comps nicely!:y:

Although when matching amps and drivers, you never go by the "dynamic/max/peak" power ratings! Always "RMS"!
