i hav jus purchased my vtr but there is a small problem i was wonderin if ne1 culd help me wit. wen i push accelerator down a lil bit it goes normal but in every gear if i push it a bit more thn 3/4 the way down the revs jump up but speed jus increses normally so for example in fifth i doin 6000 revs at lyk 90 mph which aint ryt. this happens an thn wen i release the accelerator a bit the revs drop bk down an go up normally unles i press accelarator ryt down. this is a constant problem altho onli does it sumtyms and others is perfectly fine. i was jus wonderin cn ne1 help?

It does sound like the clutch is over shooting so when you accelerate it's acting like it's slipping, either the clutch needs replacing or the release bearing is sticking open! when you had a new clutch did they replace the thrust(release) bearing? as I'm 99% sure this will be the problem!

could be your box mate...sound similar to the problem i had, and i thought it was my clutch but when i replaced it the clutch was fine so it could of only bin the gearbox. replaced both and problem was fixed
