Will be purchasing one before the week is up, fingers crossed.

Am off to look at one tonite and was just wondering if any of you lot know what sort of things I should be looking for?

I know I need to check the heater channels as they rust easily. But just not sure what else to look for.

Don't fancy posting on the vw forum, I'm a newbie and they might bite :p

Bottom of door pillars tend to rust alot... Same as the battery tray under the rear seat...
Also heat exchangers.. They're connected to the heater channels so it's all one really...

check underneath and the arches for rust, my mates dad is refurbishing one and there're holes the size of the moon on it :)

Sills under the car, inside arches from inside and outside the car if possible to check for signs of rust/repairs
